The Lullabye Foundation is in the Business of Creating Sweet Dreams for Children Who Need Them!
“Change the way a child sees the world and the world changes for the child.”

Lullabye’s Project Sweet Dreams was created for children who live in the shadows of their communities.
Our first Sweet Dreams Community was given birth in Atlantic, Iowa.
The Lullabye Foundation would like to see a Sweet Dreams Project in every community!
Lullabye’s Project Sweet Dreams helps children achieve big dreams by helping them fulfill a few smaller ones.

Guidelines for any Sweet Dreams Community:
Sweet Dreams communities are made of school districts, which may include one or more schools.
1.    All monies for Sweet Dreams programs are raised through fundraisers held in the Sweet Dreams community.
2.    A “Marlie Jar” and a “Marlie’s Bill of Rights for Kids” may be placed in each school/and or the Sweet Dreams community to encourage students, parents, school personnel, and community members to contribute to Project Sweet Dreams on a continuing basis.  (See Lullabye’s website, www.lullabyefoundation.org,  for information on “Marlie’s Jar” and Marlie’s Bill of Rights”.)
3.    The Lullabye Foundation will make a one-time MATCHING grant of up to $1,500 for each new Sweet Dreams community, raising their $1500 fund within six (6) months to serve children as soon as possible.
4.    Each Sweet Dreams community will be under the umbrella of the Lullabye Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.
5.    A nominal annual fee of $150 will be forwarded to the Lullabye Foundation for administrative and federal tax preparation costs.
6.    Each Sweet Dreams community may establish multiple Sweet Dreams projects.
7.    Lullabye publications, the www.lullabyefoundation.org website, and any Lullabye social networking sites may be utilized by any Sweet Dreams community.
8.    A liaison to the Lullabye board needs to be designated as the contact person for communication, will report activity for review to the Lullabye board each month, and attend a Lullabye board meeting each quarter.
9.    At least two (2) persons shall administer dollars for Project Sweet Dreams. One person will administer each Sweet Dreams fund for any child in the school district. One person will keep timely and accurate records of all transactions made and will submit the report to Lullabye’s Board on a monthly basis, All dollars go directly to children’s needs which are determined by mentors: teachers, coaches, administrators, counselors, or community members. No dollars go to parents, guardians, mentors, or administrators for expenses that might be incurred in the granting of a Sweet Dream.
10.    The maximum amount of dollars given to any one child per year is $200.
11.    Procedure for a Sweet Dreams gift is as follows:
A)  A mentor from Project Sweet Dreams sees a need for a child that cannot be filled by any other organization.                                           B) The mentor contacts one of the Sweet Dreams administrators to request funds to cover all or part of the need for the child.                  C) The Sweet Dream request form is completed and submitted.
D) Subject to approval, a check is then made out to the mentor or to the business/club/etc. that will fulfill this child’s need.                         E) The mentor will then make sure that this check is cashed and used for the need or needs of this child, as requested.                            F)  The entire transaction is recorded by the accounting administrator of Project Sweet Dreams.                                                                      G)  The name of the child will be kept confidential, but a brief description should be used to look for any duplication, e.g. child’s initials and age or grade, to be used only by the mentor/s and administrators.
H) Finally, the child receiving the gift sends a thank you note and/or a self-drawn picture of himself/herself to the Lullabye Foundation, with the child’s first name only on the picture. These notes and/or drawings may be used for our Lullabye website, www.lullabyefoundation.org.
12.    Each Sweet Dreams Community will keep their Sweet Dreams funds in the local bank of their choice. All Sweet Dreams funds will have the Federal tax ID number of the Lullabye Foundation. Only the administrators of the Sweet Dreams account will have access to that account. Should a community choose not to continue their Sweet Dreams project, all monies left in the local bank account will be expended to that communities’ children before closing said account.
